Approaching New Year
I've been a bad journaler and a bad journal friend, indeed. With various and sundry things going on, I haven't found myself logging in, and it's just been a slackety good time for all, I suppose.
We have an event in a few weeks that I feel woefully unprepared for, due in part to the fact that planning an event in the beginning of January seems, in retrospect, like a really poor idea. Everyone you need to be in contact with is out of the office and burning vacation days, so it's been a little hectic.
A few friends and I went to see Sweeney Todd. VERY interesting, and Depp adds some charisma to a role that is traditionally a little more melodramatic.
I'm battling strep throat, which was a super nice gift from Santa. After all, he wanted me to have something I didn't already have that would make me think of it every time I breathed. Sweet of him!
