I have a bruise. I have been taking pictures of it as it changes color. I am debating posting pictures of it somewhere. I got the bruise firing a shotgun and yes, it was badass.
In other news: I have been reading Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I highly recommend him to everyone. If you haven't read his work before and you would like to, there are a few things you should know.
First, his books are full of sex. Some of it is raunchy...truthfully, most of it is raunchy. But somehow it is still classy. Wrap you head around that.
Second: they are wonderful meandering tales. His style is not linear.
Lastly, you should read some of his books or at least his short stories.
Of the three books I have read so far, my favorite so far is" A Thousand Years of Solitude". It's like no book I have ever read before but probably not one to start with if it's going to be your first Marquez book. The storytelling in it is very, very non-linear and somewhat difficult to follow. "Love in a Time of Cholera" is a love story (gasp!) and I liked it. I'm usually not into romance novels but I enjoyed it. "Diary of My Melancholy Whores" has an awesome title! It was a strange romance story and I was always unsure of the main character, but it was so very, very good.
