Some thoughts

Feel like writing, but not on any of the projects that I'm working on. Major block on moving any of my other pieces forward. Have a deadline coming up so I'll have to do something about it.

I can't imagine the horror it must be for those who are in New Orleans, or Biloxi or any of the other towns hit by Katrina. There are reports of raping and murder going on at night in New Orleans. Which of course the police have no way of controlling in the nightmare happening in this much loved city right now. Was the looting and violence this bad last year in Punta Gorda, FL when Hurricane Charley wiped it out? I don't remember hearing those reports. Nor do I remember any reports this bad out of California during the major earthquakes they've had, or out of other parts of the globe during natural disasters.

Been hearing a lot about the Fair Tax lately. Abolish the IRS, take home my entire earnings, cost of living stays the same if not decreases, everybody pays not just the rich, be in control of all of my money, major boon for the economy. I can't find a downside. Obviously these are just highlights. Go to fairtax.org for the details.

I am so tired of Cindy Sheehan. She continually proves just how stupid she is. But unfortunately the media especially NBC do everything they can to make her the news. Truly sad.

Thanks to Katrina, we are not going to have as much oil as we used to for awhile. Over 1M barrels of crude oil per day is not being produced and because of this, gasoline prices has gone through the roof. Nothing could have been done about it. Yet I heard many of the customers that came into the my workplace blaming President Bush for the cost of gasoline today. What morons!!!!

Oh, and this made me laugh. Posted on DemocraticUnderground today was a couple people agreeing that President Bush had the levees destroyed so that New Orleans would flood more. Even more moronic than the one above.
