Okay, have some more time now. Actually, I'm lying in bed listening to Channel 8 (NBC affiliate) news coverage of Hurricane Jeanne. See Rant #1

I respect your opinion and I believe that choosing how one sides politically is completely up to the individual. I don't see Kerry as being the hero some people would like to make him to be, as in thinking that with Bush out of office, all the terrorists are going to resign from their activities and world will all of a sudden be a better place but I do see a lot of information being presented by the media which causes some of the reactions your talking about. Most people who are voting for Bush say the exact same thing.
My only question is, is Kerry the only senator that changes his mind on what seems to be important issues. I am not so much entirely against the domestic policy (of course there are some), its the foreign policy which concerns me. I think it has increased the levels of threats towards Americans and there will probably be years of repurcussions from this. Evil can't be wiped out from the face of the earth and Bush is the typical Christian, persecuting others who are different.
And recently Kerry was briefed by the Director of the CIA but with all of the intelligence Bush had, it seems like there are exceptions for brushing up mistakes under the current white house.
No Kerry isn't the only Senator who continually changes his mind. But he does seem to do it the most often and he's the only Senator that is a candidate for POTUS.
Let's talk about foreing policy. Under the previous administration, the United States was attacked by radical muslims three or four different times. The U.S.S. Cole, the first WTC attack, Lockerbie and some have argued that the Oklahoma City Bombing had a radical muslim component to it.
We did nothing. Then 9/11 came along. And Bush did something about it and continues to do something about it.
These extremists can not be bargained with, they cannot be reasoned with and they will not stop. They have taken religious vows to destroy the United States of America. A "more sensitive war" will not make them go away. Quite the contrary, it will only make them more sure of themselves.
Right now, we are fighting the extremists in Iraq. Many were already there when we got there, and many went there with the idea of fighting us there. If we stop fighting them in Iraq, then we will have to fight them in the United States. I would much rather we fight them in the Middle East.
This is a world war against extremist muslims. They have hit every civilized country on the planet. Bali, Russia, Madrid, The United States... They shoot children in the back and bomb school buses. They will not stop unless we stop them.
I think one of the common misconceptions of America, is that its seen as some liberating force around the world. The Bush Admin has provoked the anger and brought out more of the radicals. If your country was being invaded by a foreign influence with values that were against your beliefs, would you fight?
Its been said that Bush has been wanting to put together a plan against Irag, before 9/11. I have a problem with people in high levels of intelligence against Bush and how the media puts a spin of presenting him as a Saint of Peace. Why didn't we deal with Saudi Arabia since most of the people responsible for 9/11 came from there? Oil? Economic wars for their own profit, never...
Bush seems just as much as an extremists, Christian Terrorists trying to create another crusade. Of cource this is all in favor of Israel and its sad to think we can't catch some one who claims responsibility for 9/11 and other connected attacks which you mentioned. Though he was trained by the CIA to fight the Russians and they specifically looked for radical muslims so the past of the republicans is here to haunt them and we suffer for their price.
I don't think you can stop terrorism on a global front. Why do you think these people are doing this? Because they are delusional and insane? What are their motivations for these crimes against mankind?
