I could use some help from you, my livejournal reader.. I’ve been spending a lot of time trying to come up with the perfect “Chill Music CD”.. a CD that you can pop in and the music just calms you down, chills you out, good music.. good *chill* music.. that’s the theme here.. chill.. some song that will lift your worries and stresses of the day off of your shoulders.. all the songs should be fairly popular.. elicit that good chill factor that I want.. something that everyone would want to hear at one of tom’s field parties around a bon-fire.. be something that your parents would not completely hate.. this is my second stab at the chill music cd (first one was this one minus the starred songs).. I hope you guys get the gist of what kind of song I want.. there’s a few REALLY good songs out there.. and I want to assemble them all for this CD. So far, the best prime examples of songs that I want are.. Steppenwolf - Magic Carpet Ride, Uncle Kracker - Drift Away, Red Hot Chili Peppers - Scar Tissue, Under the Bridge, and Don McLean - American Pie.. listen to these songs and imagine how they all fulfill each little requirement I have fully.. every other song is a pretty good match, but is somehow lacking. I usually like heavy heavy shit, but I want this to be a more mellow relaxed kind of cd.. I want you guys to think of songs I could put on here. I thought of a few more songs that may be good for such a chill CD:
