Felt like Yesterday | Challenge: Umbrella | Jacob/Bella | Interlude between Eclipse and Breaking Dawn
They were on the beach when it started to pour. Bella muffles a girlish screech and snatches the jacket he had thrown over their driftwood tree. Jake grins, his eyes tracing the way the water bounces off the shell of her makeshift umbrella. She catches his smile, scowling at the flash of wolfy white teeth.
"I'm going to get pneumonia."
Jacob shakes his head, wet hair flying. "No you won't! C'mon, Bells. Play in the rain with me!"
Bella sighs and drops the jacket. Jacob whoops triumphantly and she smiles, feeling a pang. Days like this won't last much longer.
