Whee, Oni-con was cool!
Hey everybody!
I just returned from Oni-con tonight. X3 After having been practicing for a performance that Deb and I were to give there for a few months, along with battoling with my work over getting the days off so close to christmas, we finally made it out there!
First off, I want to thank Lil/Nicole-chan~~ so so much for being so sweet and wonderful and coming to get us from the airport and stuff. She took care of alot of our needs, her parents let us stay at their house for a night, she helped with costume stuff (along with her awesome mom), and it was just great. <3 <3 <3 Thank you soooo much for being there for us. We really appreciate it and we're sorry that things got a little crazy D:! You especially win for putting your foot down in that bar xD Go you!
Secondly, thank you Candance and oni-con staff peoples for also being very super cool! We had foods and everything we needed to be comfortable ^_^
Thirdly..holy cow! So many awesome friends! Laura~~ It was good to see you! I woves you girly! Eee! Grell~ I <3 you are such a spaz! Sorry if I'm horribly weird, lol xD Alex and Jade and Anise and all of you~ I heart you all very much and I really hope we get to talk more and soon! It was awesome getting to see you. We should, uh..RP >.> <.< heehee. Rob, you're such a nice guy! Deb really enjoyed your company :D UMM. Serena and friend, you were both so cute! Very shy though, you don't have to worry so much next time, okay? You guys are cool <3 Umm..can't think, has the dumb..OH! Other Sebastion and friends! You guys were so nice^_^ I'm glad I got to find others to talk about fandom with and such. Hope to talk to you here!
Now that I'm done with that, on to what actually happened!
Friday moved pretty slow and we mostly got to hang out and mill around. Along with helping out with one panel, I just worked on my costume (last minute as usual) and then adorned it ( I was Sebastion from Kuroshitsuji) and ran around talking to people XD Around 7pm Deb and I had to figure out our music stuffs for the Masquerade ball, and then we sang! :3 Phantom of the Opera, Shangri-la (for me), and then a song called Stargazer (for Deb.) Poor Debzy over exerted and dehydrated herself though ^_^; I ended up caring her on my back halfway to my room after she nearly passed out (go me! Rawr, I is strong!) and then Rob (Suzaku cosplayers, yay~) carried her the rest of the way. We made her sleep and drink water and then she was all better.
Saturday was much more cluttered with things to do. After putting on my new Amano Aeris (I hope it looked good!) I wandered around with Laura for a while and hung out with her. We helped host a cosplay panel for about an hour, and then we ran to prep for the cosplay contest. Deb, whom had a few last minute touches to add to her Celes dress (I glued things to it for her xD)was being sewn into her dress in the back, due to lack of zipper :/ while I talked with the sound tech guy to get our music set up. After running through our songs a few times, we got wrangled into helping Judge the cosplay (along with singing, which was cool with me :3) and then the events got started.
Man..that was alot of funny skits. I would tell you all about all my favorites and such but I'm starting to fall asleep! Sooo, I will say that there was an AWESOME Cid from FFVII whom I totally thought was a guy! Along with a tiny 10 year old girl who managed to remember the words to 4 short songs, along with singing them on pitch, while jumping around as a vocaloid. Go her xD She definately got Deb and my Judge's award, we were impressed. Resident Evil skit..just..I have to find a video of that for everyone. It rocked.
Anyway! After we went into half time and Deb sang Aria de Mezzo, beautifully, there was a Kabuki play, and then I had to run out there and sing Tsuki no Mayu. :3 I couldn't hear myself at all. haha. So! How was it? anyone? XD;
After that, we hung out at the rave for a while and then on some couches with Grell (whom was drunk xD), and Rob. Grell..god, I love that girl. She was completely retarded and adorable, as well as destructive. xD Pulling big red christmas balls off the nearby christmas tree and saying "I have big red balls~" suggestively for example. She was also pulling one of the down pillows apart. The constant coos of "sebastion~~" at me (even though I was wearing Aeris at the time) had me totally sold. XD haha! And yay for Laura trying to get me to drink? Failed attempt though, sorry Laura! <3 xD Rum and coke TASTES AWFUL. lkwdnkwdnlknd AWFUL. *coughs and dies* However, Grell's small sip of Cinnamon schnaps was kind of nice. o.o burns down the throat like most alcohol does.
Sunday was full of random and tired and talk and..ahhaha. I'm so tired x.x but w got interviewed by random local access TV shows! Yay? I think it's a yay. heehee..anyway. We are back safely! I love you guys! I love you Stephi! :D Leave me love <3? heehee. night!
