Rules for Public Places
1. There is ample room for 2 people across on an escalator. If your legs are not moving, stay to the right. Some of us need to get places. ... They don't have this problem in Europe. Signs are posted.

2. When in a crowd (i.e., de.boarding a train), if you a somewhat slower than the general pace, or have luggage, please stay in the slow pack - the peloton is likely much too quick for you. If you swing your arms, please stay to the edges.
3. When grocery shopping, do not block the aisles with your cart. Gently pull your cart to the side and allow sufficient space for another shopper to pass. If you do not know what you're looking for, go home and make a fucking list.
