Review of the Amon Carter

I must say that the trip to the Amon Carter, and I gotta say Western art must have been miserable to paint. I mean In a portrait in which the artist was painting a mainly sandy area, surely some sand must have gotten into  the paint. They didnt get to use too much of a color differential. and the subject matter must have been a real pain to capture. I mean no one wants to be the painter of a cowboy. You have to ride on the drive with them, and like not get paid as much. I was rather impressed by some of the more  "modern art" and some of the east coast exhibitions. I was particularly impressed with the angel statue that looks like its trying to reach out. I dunno. I had a good time.
