Not with this lot. [Val hugs Molly. One of the many things she likes about Alfie and Lottie are their families. There are so nice and Val feels like they really let her in. Molly's much nicer than her grandmother.]
I'm good. I'm hungry. [She sits down and helps move some of the food around to make room.] It's been a good year so far. I am looking forward to holidays though.
We'll have to have you over a few times, if you can get away with it. *Molly would straight up invite her to the Manor Christmas party (Val seems like a girl after her own heart, she'd appreciate a dress up and dance opportunity) but dinner is a doable little scheme, a highly publicized event isn't.*
That would be fun. I'd like that. [She loves being at the Flint's. The Manor is just..fun. It's not quiet and boring like her house. People hug and they laugh and they enjoy talking to each other. Val is kind of jealous but she just likes being able to be a part of it when she can.]
At least a little bit! People start getting tetchy if you go into December saying you don't know what you want and anything would be fine and they know what you like. I do really think I'm easy, though, I think anyone could look at something in a shop and know if I'd like it. *It just has to be baroque and maximalist and fun or else an unlined notebook of any kind ever, she goes through them like wildfire.*
Fantastic taste, my dear. *Molly is making mental notes. It's honestly a notable testament to her grandchildren's character that they're all largely down to earth people despite her and Michael's best efforts to make spoiled monsters out of them. Or at least a testament to her grandchildren's parents.*

*The biggest hug!* Don't I know it! You'll have to get it before it's gone. How are you, my darling?

I don't even know. I haven;t thought much about what I want. I've been working on lists for everyone I know.

Oh, they're some of my easy ones, they're good with quality time or things that come in colors that ought to burn your eyes out.

Good! I also have a list of albums they don't have yet...somewhere. It's in my room somewhere, great backup plan for when you really have no idea.
