His parents don't trust him, Cade. He's grounded, but they think he'll sneak out when they're gone.

This really should be their problem. *But that's the tone he uses when he's given in. His dad wants it done, Cade can do it. He sighs.* How long?

Well, if he was at Hogwarts it wouldn't be anyone's problem. [He checks his phone.] They'll be back on Sunday. Should be early.

*If he was at Hogwarts he'd be a lot of people's problem. Cade would really much rather if Graham has to be a problem, and of course he does it's Graham, that he's just Cade's problem and no one else's.* Alright, so I'll just...take him home with me at the end of the day, I guess.

Yeah, of course. I'm sure we'll figure out something to do. *Maybe? He usually only talks to the guy about work and he doesn't really want to do that for three or four days straight.*

You know Cade, maybe you'll be a good infuence on him? Maybe he needs a friend?

His father isn't exactly a pleasant man [He says like he's not one of his friends.]

*See, the thing is Cade doesn't want to be friends with unpleasant people just because his dad is. Some days he almost thinks the same thing and feels bad for Graham, and then he has to remind himself everything the guy did to Sylvie and how his dad didn't make him do any of that.* I hope I'm a good influence on him. I'll try to be.

I just thank...whoever. That I don't have the problems out of you that some parents have. I hope Ceri is as easy as you are.

*He can feel his smile freeze a bit but he thinks he pulls it off. The overwhelming guilt staying just in his head where it belongs.* I'm alright. She'll be herself, that's definitely better.

You're right. She'll be wonderful no matter what. She's already one of my favorite people. And she's doesn't do much. But she's a smiling and it's my favorite thing.

She's definitely one of my favorite people. She's really funny for someone who can't talk.

Shes definitely finding more amusement in the world around her now. Kimmi is still her favorite but she's tolerating me for longer periods of time now. I try to spend a little time with her before I leave for work.
