Not anymore. [He levitates a box in behind him.] Sorry. The last couple of days have been busy. I made a bunch though. It shouldn't be a problem for a while.
Oh, thank you! Right over here, if you don't mind. *She's cleared out room by the apothecary shelves, which she's completely moved around. Rosie hasn't been shy about neatening and rearranging, and in her opinion the infirmary makes much more sense this way.* It's been quite busy, hasn't it? Is it like this every year?
I suppose the body gets used to most anything. How long have you worked at Hogwarts? *Two spells, and she has the daughts sorting themselves on the shelf.*
Goodness, I'm sure it must. You must really love it to do it so long. *Very helpfully she doesn't say anything about how that's longer than she's been alive.*
Yeah, I do love it. I've always loved teaching. Before I was teaching here I had a job helping tutoring people for exams. Kids who were homeschooled and such. It's rewarding and I'm good at it. [He didn't mean for his career to swallow his life but it just kind of happened somewhere along the way.] How do you like it here?
I enjoy it much more than I expected to, although Blake does say she expected it entirely and she's always right, of course. Normally I have rather intense but short relationships with my patients, but then, all the children here aren't really patients, are they? They're rather people who need an occasional pepper-up or counter-jinxing. It's quite a big change.
Oh, do you? That's very impressive, just a minute. *She'd kept the handbook at her desk, it's a rather slim little thing--giving more zine than book, honestly.*
I would appreciate that. As I say, I just found it here, I was talking to a student and he didn't even know there was a handbook to begin with. I don't suppose it's very popular.
That sounds like an excellent idea. *Rosie has seen the headmaster maybe...twice since she started working here? She'd be shocked if he turned out to be some kind of simulacra put up by the board of directors, but she wouldn't be surprised.*

[He puts the boxes down.] It is, yeah. I'm used to it though.

Um...forty-two years? Wow, that sounds like a long time when I say it out loud.

I imagine it is a big change. I'm glad it's been a pleasant one. The kids can definitely grow on you.
And yes, Blake is almost always right and please tell her I said so.

Yes they can and I would be happy to.
Oh, I had a question earlier about the student handbook? I found a copy here, you see, only I wasn't sure if it's out of date.

Let me see it. I can tell you. I have one in my office, but I've it memorized. [Dylan has an extremely good memory.]

[He flips through it and makes it face. It's out of date and he doesn't understand why.] This is from...five years ago? I'll get you a new one.

They're supposed to be distributed to the first years. I guess that's not happening. I'll talk to the headmaster about it.
