I decided that I'm just gonna treasure each one of Michael's little "Yay, something worked!" smiles because chances are that it's gonna be a long time before he'll ever feel like smiling about anything for a long time.
Lincoln is soooooo screwed. I wonder if what really hit Lincoln was being confronted straight on with the effects of what was in the end put in motion by him being rescued, if it just hit him that there is a very real chance that Michael might hate him over this for good or just worry for LJ.
Mmm, good points, all of them. I really think it hit him that it was all his fault. We've had Michael feel guilty for two seasons, now it's his turn. Be probably feels like it wasn't fair that the first woman his brother loved (deeply) is who got taken. At the same time he's worried about LJ too.
I like to think that he doesn't have much choice. If he told Michael the truth chances are that Michael would at least go into stasis for a while (kinda like in J-Cat) and then LJ would be dead. And if Michael ever snapped out of it then I'm sure Michael would never forgive himself for having yet another death (LJ) on his conscience.
But it is still a sucky situation.
(then again, this is how I would write/think; based on past experience the writers usually aren't even half as considerate with their Lincoln characterisation; *buries head in sand*)
LOLOLOLOL I KNOW. *headdesk* How many times can they recycle the same storyline and expect us not to notice? This season is making last season look downright amazing.
I especially loved that Michael who had to tattoo the Cute Poison toothpaste Formula on his body in season 1 now immediately knew the deal with the dead body spray stuff. Are we sure he's an engineer and not a chemist?
That said, I still kind of want to see Michael blow his shit when he finds out. Should be good popcorn fun.
I mean, just the fact that escaping from Fox River took a full set of sleeves and full-back tattoo, months of planning and still didn't go off the way it was expected; and now he's in Sona like a few weeks and he has an escape plan. WTF. He's like the Master of Escaping Prisons now.
I want Michael to blow Susan's head off and then complain to Linc about how hard it was. LOL
T-Bag is seriously pulling off the sneaky hot again this season. I'm sort of digging his storyline so far because I keep the hope that it is actually going somewhere (even if it peaks at him killing Lechero or something).
Your lead-off perfectly describes the show right now-- it IS much easier if you no longer care about the characters!
Lincoln just lost major coolness points with me for not punching Susan B. when she whined about the technicalities of how tough it is to saw somebody's head off and how hard it would be for her if she had to send LJ to Lincoln in pieces. How did he NOT punch her over that? God, the "me-me-me" in that talk was disgusting. Plus, she keeps saying "we're both soldiers, just on different sides." WTF? Lincoln isn't a soldier-- AND he didn't choose to be on a side. In fact, a low-level criminal really isn't much like a soldier at all. The woman sounds crazier (and dumber) ever time she opens her mouth! Plus, who wears that kind of clothing in the daytime in Panama anyway? It's like she never stopped going to that bar after dark.
Ewwww, freaked out Michael. Dirty Mahone. Actually, that scene was all kinds of hot to me. I was SO waiting for Mahone to lick Michael's neck. ;)
It's been my position on season 3 from the start. I'm watching it like a new show. So no personal involvement to where the characters end up. Don't get me wrong, I'm not sure the show can survive as a clean pure action show where pretty people blow things up. I mean, wasn't that the concept of Drive and that didn't exactly go well (again, I don't think that Drive was supposed to be a pure action show, but since it was so new you didn't really have much time to form emotional attachements to the characters; but it was clearly designed to appeal to the younger male demo; action, cars, pretty women, cool leads, conspiracies... and it didn't work. It wasn't enough).
Plus, she keeps saying "we're both soldiers, just on different sides."
Word. I kept waiting for him to say "Hey, don't let the fact that I beat up people distract you from the fact that I'm an innocent bystander who was framed because of who his daddy wasI really, really, really hope that Susan is supposed to be delusional. Please, writers, PLEASE

:D I like that picture very much. Though it looks like Mahone is smelling Michael, and Michael is disturbed by it. Forget the knife! Go with your feelings!
Yeah, everybody is "they should have ended it after season 2" and I'm all "Errr, no, they should have ended it after season 1". Just end it with them out of jail and write a coda where Pope or Westmoreland gets a postcard of Lincoln, Veronica and Michael on a boat somewhere toasting to the camera.
That said, I still find it entertaining enough in a pure watching it kind of way (all that snapping people's head in a prison duel stuff and Michael playing prison plumber). Like I said, I view season 3 like I would view a new series, this time a pure action one rather than a drama. I find myself moderately enough entertained while watching the episode even if I walk away from it without deep feelings once its over.

Plus, look at Mahone's smile. ;)

And there are a lot of screencaps (especially from the side) which really do look like they are about to kiss. Should all be very iconworthy:
