Ok, so...Wonderland. Yesterday. I woke up a little after 7am and was at Michael's around 9pm. I looked so cute! I didn't wear any makeup because I knew it would all melt off anyway, but apparently Michael liked that. I wore my new beige skort (I bought it the day before), a white tank top, my beige sandals, a black Molson Canadian fanny pack type thing and a black nike visor (my hair was in braids). Anyway, apparently Michael agreed that I looked cute because he attacked me the second I was in his door. Made me happy.
So then we threw together a cooler for lunch and headed off. We stopped at McDonald's on the way and got egg mcmuffins for breakfast, then realized we hadn't brought a camera, so we bought a disposable from Shopper's. Not that we took a single damn photo, of course. Next time. Next time we'll have to do it for sure.
So we got in the park at about 10:30am, which isn't bad considering it opens at 10am. We started off with the Mindbuster. Love that ride! Love rides in general, actually. And the lines were good, too, because everyone was in Splash Works, playing in the water. Yeah, it was scorching. But stupid me left her bathing suit in London and got no water time. Well, except for when me and Michael stood on the Timberfalls bridge so that the boat would splash us. My front got soaked! It was so refreshing. :)
Michael and I ended up spending a lot of time in the stores to beat the heat. I still ended up with heat exhaustion, but I'm sure it helped. Yay air conditioning! I was also impressed with the prices. I'm used to everything being outrageously priced, but it seems that they've gotten reasonable. Yay! Michael bought a sweater shirt. It's navy and says lifeguard on it. And it's SO SOFT! I love it! :)
So yeah, was very much a lot of fun. If I can afford it, I want to upgrade to a season's pass because I'd really like to go a few more times with Michael this summer.
And then today was pretty normal for the most part, but work tonight was really great. It was SO busy! I had to break out the waiting book for the first time! I got a little stressed when there were waits and stuff, but the girls were like "Don't worry. They'll wait." And they were really good about helping me clean the tables because there wasn't a busgirl.
And I ended up making about $25 in tips! Which may not sound like a lot, but I usually only make about $10, so that was pretty fucking amazing!
After work I had dinner there, a basket of fries (with ketchup and vinegar!) and a caesar salad. So yummy! I think I should eat at work more often.
And I got to see Michael when I came home. So all in all, it was a really good night!
