* Using this icon because it's probably the last chance I'll have for several months. I need to make some celebratory icons. :P
* I probably should have said something a week ago when it happened, but...I WENT TO GAME 7 OF THE STANLEY CUP FINAL!!! It was ridiculously awesome. I got to see my boys kick ass and Sid hoist the cup and I took a bazillion pictures and I almost got into a fistfight with a Red Wings fan mom and it was absolutely incredible. One of the Best Nights of My Life!!!
* Colin's been at a conference in Lake Tahoe since Tuesday. I miss him a ridiculous amount. *pout*
* I've occupied a lot of time since Colin's been gone watching How I Met Your Mother online. I've only ever watched random episodes that I've managed to catch on tv before, so watching them in order's been awesome. I'm already into the 3rd season. And I want Barney & Robin icons.
Thank you, SideReel! * I was going to go home for father's day this weekend, but I've had a real bad sore throat and driving 4 hours each way just did not sound like a good time. Plus my Dad called and essentially told me not to come home since it's far and he just saw me last weekend (we were both surprised to see each other when I dropped in at my grandmother's.) I told him I'll give him his present (cleaning his office as I have NO money) when I come home next.

* For some reason I can't get the itunes on my iphone to change to my actual account. This is annoying as it means I can't even download free apps. Hopefully James can fix it for me when I'm in town next.
* I thought
this was a really interesting breakdown of what happened this season on American Idol.
* I want
one of these to use the night of the bachelorette party (I don't trust myself with a regular purse), but I hate buying things online. And also I have no money. :(
* I was watching What Not to Wear earlier and I actually got really emotional. There was an older woman on the show, probably around 40 +/- 5 years, and at the end she said "Oh wow, I'm beautiful" and she burst into tears. She'd never thought that of herself before. I'm not going to lie, I got a little teary eyed. I think that's one of the main reasons I love the show so much. I mean, the fashion is great (although I don't always agree with EVERYTHING that Clinton and Stacey say, and I usually hate Nick), but what I really appreciate is how they teach women to work with and love what they have. They never say "Come back when you've lost 10 pounds" or "you're unfixable." It's always "you're already beautiful; let's show you how that's true." In a world where they made The Swan and plastic surgery makeover shows are everywhere, I think this is fantastic. You're not wrong; the clothes are wrong. Love it. ♥
* Finally, I don't even know who Pete Hoekstra is, but
I still find this absolutely hilarious!
