I hate this weather. It makes my skin all dry and gross and I could *swear* that I had oily skin, but apparently that doesn't matter so now my skin is flaking and gross and my legs are itchy and irritated and I have to buy special creams to put on them and I hate hate hate this weather. Maybe I should have considered applying to American law schools so that I can spend the rest of my days living in sunny, non-skin-drying weather Florida. Shame about the cost factor, really.
In other news, last night's Veronica Mars was absofuckinfabulmazing!!!!! I heart heart heart Rob Thomas. Also, I have a girl crush on Kristen Bell and Veronica, and a huge ass crush on Logan. And I'm not going to say anything spoilery, but DUDE! I love this show. That's what I'm talking about!
And today's been pretty good so far. I went to Sybil's concert before class and it was really good! I didn't get to see her afterwards so that I could tell her that because I had 5 minutes to get to the SSC for my sociology of law class. (I KNOW! I ACTUALLY WENT! Isn't that amazing??) And then after class I bought a pair of coffees and went to meet with my Children's Lit professor from last year, who was kind enough to write me my academic letter of reference. So we were able to chat for about half an hour and I really like her and it was very nice.
If I don't get into law school, I want to go back and do another degree -- Honors Specialization in English, for sure.
And we talked a little longer than I had realized and I had a deviance class at 3:30 and I kind of thought it was at 4:30 because I never go to it but I wanted to go today because I have an in-class exam next Tuesday and I kind of wanted to check where we're writing it...um, oops? Thank God the notes are on line and if all else fails I can just email the professor. The class is so big she'll probably forget just who the horrible slacker student is. :P
And now I think I'm going to head home and clean up a bit for Movies & Martinis night.
