Okay, so I'm finally sitting down and updating this thing. I don't much feel like talking about my life at the moment, so I'll keep it brief.
The last three weeks were killer, thanks to exams and paper re-writes. Thankfully, as of last Friday I'm all done and relieved and completely scared shitless of checking out my marks. I came home Friday night immediately after emailing my prof my paper re-write because I had to work the following morning.
For those not in the know, I'm working at Paramount Canada's Wonderland this summer. I'm a ride operator in kidzville. So far it's been really, really cold, but it'll get better and even when it's cold I love my job. My crew is really awesome too, even if the girls on my crew seem to be operating with half a brain. In two shifts I've already dealt with an illegal evacuation, wanting to bitchslap kids, wanting to hug kids, and a lost kid. Also purposely stranding guests on the lift for a minute. :P
I'm absolutely ADDICTED to Veronica Mars. For those of you on my flist who have never watched or heard of the show, you need to. Ask me and I'll send you the pilot. Believe me when I say that that's all it takes to get addicted!
...I need to make myself a dozen VM icons as I don't have any right now. This would be so much easier if I could get my laptop to work with the internet at home. I think I just bought the wrong cable.
Also, I finally was able to watch last night's VM! I'm currently uploading it to pass on the love, but it's taking forever. Also, I noticed a bunch of things on a second watching that I missed when watching it at 5am. (Did I mention the part where I'm obsessed and addicted with this show??? QUALITY TELEVISION, PEOPLE!)
I really, really loved this episode. Logan is adorable. Can I have a Logan of my own, please? I just love the way he looks at Veronica. And his "I can't stand that I hurt you when all I want to do is protect you" melted me. And his standing up for her at the surprise party! And just everything! *LOVES*
I don't see what the big deal about the video cameras is. I mean, yes, it's dirty and creepy, but there's no way that Logan's responsible for them. He didn't even originally plan for them to end up in there; it was only because of the surprise party that they had to find elsewhere to be alone. I wish Veronica had stayed around and confronted him about it rather than splitting, but I can't say I was surprised. He said that he wanted her to trust him and she said that she did, but she doesn't trust him. I don't think she knows how to trust anyone completely. I think she WANTS to trust him but she can't. And I think he's an important part of her development exactly because of that.
Damn, I need some good LoVe fic.
My guess is that Aaron is a kinky bastard and liked filming his sexual exploits or is a crazy incestuous bastard and wanted to watch Logan and Veronica get it on. Either way, ew.
I'm actually kind of wondering if maybe Aaron killed Lilly. At one point in the episode he says to Logan: "I'm committed to this family, Logan. I'm committed to you. You'll see that." And it made me think of when he beat the shit out of Trina's boyfriend and I can't help thinking that he would have been capable of hurting Lilly if she hurt Logan.
Of course, I've read other people's theories and I think it would be a lot cooler if it was Liane after everything. But I'm not sure how that would fit.
Really, I think that the key to finding out who killed Lilly really hinges on the secret she hinted at to Veronica that day. But hell if I know anything; I guess I'll just have to wait until next Tuesday...
Going back to the actual episode...the rape that wasn't. It struck me as a little odd that Veronica and Duncan both were drugged but Duncan could remember stuff and Veronica couldn't. Why is that? It's possible that it's just ignorance on my part; I'll admit that I'm not well-versed in date rape drugs. Still, overall I was pleased with how they handled it and I really liked Veronica's confrontation with Duncan and then her going to see Wallace afterwards. I would have preferred if they'd gone into things a little deeper, though. Maybe we'll see more of that in the finale? I hope so because the whole thing still doesn't strike me as entirely resolved.
I also want to know exactly what caused Duncan's rage at the end. I think he's still totally in love with Veronica. Counting down the days and hours till the finale...
And time to make dinner!
