Step on it
Today was a momentous day for me! You want to know why today was a momentous day? Because I cycled, actually cycled, for the first time in over ten years!!! While this may not seem like anything major for some people, it really is for me because a) I never exercise and b) I don't like going out in the sun and c) I thought I wasn't going to be able to remember how to cycle.
So I cycled with 5 other friends, Jul, Shan, Jun Yan, Hui Li and Lydia, all the way from the bike rental shop, to Bedok Jetty, to Sunset Bay at Bougainvillea Garden, where there were such beautiful flowers in bloom and then to Amber Beacon lighthouse. It was lovely having the wind in our hair and the sun (aka my new friend ahaha) shining down upon us. :D I think Eleanor Roosevelt was spot-on when she said "You must do the thing you think you cannot do." I'm really glad I did that today.
