Vedic Astrology and Filing

I’m off to do a Vedic Astrology course tomorrow. This is not something I’m massively fascinated by, I’m more of an I-Ching and the Tarot woman myself, (and angel cards, of course,) but when a friend mentioned it, the writerly part of me went, hmmm, might be useful for a story sometime. So, I signed up.

However, apparently as part of the course, we ( Read more... )

50,000 words to work off of, that's great! A boost, for sure, but I do like that you're not worried about throwing them away. Sometimes I get stuck right there. You write lovely short stories, but I think it's good you're choosing the book project as I know that's where your heart is right now.

I got into handwriting analysis until I started noticing the handwriting of people I loved and some things I didn't want to know about them. Which, now I look back and think that if I'd been a braver person, I might have used it to help them, but how is that possible? I think I'm not that nosy and don't want to be that involved in others, anyway. It's a hard combo, so I did the next best thing I could think of, which was stop all handwriting analysis *bg*

Too bad about no written time regarding your birth! This way, though, if you find out something you don't like, you can say, "it's only because of the uncertainty regarding time..." *g*

I number my stories on the computer and hardcopy. My stories are on my computer as 1--Toymaker 2--World's Edge 3--Moon's Cat...and so on. Then they line up in order, which also matches each file number in my cabinet.

In the cabinet drawer, I have files arranged 1-3; 4-6; 7-9; and so on. If I make a hardcopy of #2 World's Edge, I put a #2 in the upper right hand corner, so I know that's the folder it goes in. As you might imagine, I don't have so much in the paper folders, but if I ever want to, I can.

If stories are retired, I just put a new story in its slot. It's not a problem at all.

Well, it looks confusing like this, but it's very simple. I also used to keep a notebook with a page for each story, but that was too much and really not needed.

Anyway, have fun at the Astrology course, it'll be great. I love enthusiasts, no matter what they do.

Well, my course told me great things about my potential so I'm happy to accept 11 as my birth time. For now. :)

Your filing system sounds so logical. I bet I could destroy it in an afternoon.

Regarding the negative possibilities in reading people, as in your handwriting work, our teacher told us to, "be kind," when dealing with people. It set the tone for the whole day and for my understanding of vedic astrology.
