honor the sabbath day and keep it holy
The best thing about my family's particular brand of Christianity is their belief that God has a sense of humor. Yesterday I got the following email from my dad:
Subject: The Church of the Funny Sign
You know the [church] down there at Cedar Grove that has the small white sign with black lettering? For a while now, it has said:
JESUS CHRIST
IS
ALIVE
I told your mother the other day somebody should sneak out in the middle of the night and change IS to IT'S. As of today, someone did:
JESUS CHRIST
IT'S
ALIVE
It was nice and neat, a little white square right in the middle.
I've always despaired of the kind of people living in northernmost Montgomery County, but it seems to be improving.
