Apparently.
On the bright side, I finished the prologue today, and my test readers loved it and termed it "Epic!" I got major kudos all around for scope, humor, readability, and tone, and bonus points for maintaining that "Could you ever end a chapter peacefully where I DON'T have to immediately start the next one because I MUST find out what happens next" edge.
Yay!
