I'm not nearly as far as I'd like to be in things, but I have done some sewing over the last few days! Sunday, I cut out all my bodice interlining pieces for the 17th c gown. Monday, we had our first official meeting of the Puget Sound Historical Costumers Guild, with our afternoon gathering of tea, sewing, and chat. While I was there, I stitched my engageants into my pet en l'air sleeves, and stitched down the facing in Snow White (I know, I still haven't finished that). When I got home after trivia that night, I also made my fabric-covered belt buckle for Snow (though I still need to find my needlenose so I can finish it). Tuesday, I put together my 17th c bodice pieces. And then I took them apart and put them together again. And again. There was some weird puckery princess seam thing going on, in the front pieces, so I had to fix all that before I could start the boning. Last night, I put just about half the boning channels in, until I ran out of thread... :( I've also been slowly handsewing the grosgrain ribbon band on the inside waist of Snow White. Today, I finished marking all my boning channels (and bought more thread!)
So thanks to
nuranar, I have now realized I have six weekends left till CosCol, minus one when my parents are coming up to visit. Most of that time I will be in rehearsals/tech/performances for Gondoliers, plus working full time. Aaahhh!!!
Here's everything I need to do:
-17th c gown for the Gala
-50s Cinderella (or possibly Briar Rose if I'm running short on time)
-finish sewing grosgrain in Snow White; finish belt; do apple-ique
And everything I want to do if I have time:
-Re-hem or pleat burgundy petticoat for pet en l'air
-Make velvet bolero for Snow White
-Make a hat for Regency
-Make a blue wool spencer for Regency stuff
-New crinoline for 50s Disney stuff
*fingers crossed!*
