Holy crap, it's cold!
It was 30 degrees when I woke up. And that was after the sun had been up and out. Even the rooster was inside and not out crowing like normal. I immediately took a hot shower and bundled up, and while it's up closer to 40 degrees now, it's still damn cold.
Last night we stayed in and watched movies. nijawial had never seen Road to El Dorado! We had to fix that, ASAP. And we also rented The Emperor's New Groove, which is always an awesome movie, and Sinbad, since Nija also hasn't seen that. But when we were done with Emperor's New Groove, we were tired, and just went to bed.
Day after tomorrow, we're going to be heading to my parent's house for Thanksgiving. I will be chained in the kitchen until Thanksgiving dinner itself, most likely. ;) We have an epic feast prepared, and I get to do most of it.
Anyway, it's that time of the year again!
Make a post (public, friends-locked, filtered... whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of ten holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV"). The important thing is to make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
Make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread.
Surf around your friends list (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now, here's the important part...
If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes one person's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use - or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free - do it.
1. The same thing I put first every year. :D Art/illustrations for any of my fic or RP scenes. I have this epic love for art, especially personalized art, because I have no talent for it whatsoever.
2. Mix CDs/Zip files. I love music, especially new music. I love classic rock, trance/psychedelic music, and grunge.
3. Anything dragon related. I have a collection of dragons and draconic things, and I am forever adding to it.
4. BPAL/Lush stuff.
5. Anything Venture Bros. Seriously. If it has 'Venture Bros' on it, I don't care. Posters, T-shirts, action figures, stickers, anything. It's impossible to get the merchandise out here. :/
6. Fic for any of my favorite fandoms/pairings.
7. Foreign candy/goodies. I love foreign candy, very much. And as I'm American, pretty much anything counts as foreign. ;)
8. Nice, new headphones for my MP3 player. Mine are broken. :/
9. Old dolls or action figures. I love restoring and modding them.
10. And because every list needs one of those big items you know you won't get but put on there anyway because hearts will dream: A Nintendo DS.
I really ought to have some breakfast now.
