I've been pirating. (Really.) The dreaded Illuminati finally relaxed their crutches a bit and allowed the DVD release of 1982's dynamic and Oscar-worthy cinematic masterpiece, The Pirate Movie.
Inspired and emboldened by the realistic ships and beach setting (not to mention the authentic, spot-on 19th century dialogue: "My Frederic, hiding? It cannot be that the lion-heart trembles at the coming conflict. My love - a wimp!"), I snuck out of the house strided, manly, and authoritatively informed auntsie_pants I was going out and not to wait up.
"You're not going to do something stupid, are you? What shall I do without my man?"
"I'm yours to command, my beautiful princess Cook me dinner, wench! And maybe get me a nice bowl of ice cream with, um... sprinkles on top. The rainbow-colored ones. Yeah, that'd be nice."
She looked at me. Oh, yeah. I adjusted myself (you know), "GRUNT," and headed out the door.
Having no ship (the shameful curse of living in a landlocked state), I commandeered auntsie_pants' pickup truck and sailed out onto the asphalt seas
