Here's to weird sleep cycles; since it's been happening for the last week or so I thought i might as well mention it. The post prandial hits me after dinner, and i'm dead to the world. I arise again anywhere between 11 and 1, and then I bathe, and then I do work, and then hit the sack at 3. This is technically not good because 6 hours of sleep a day is wonderful- when not broken up into 3 hour intervals.
Also, new song playlist on youtube makes me happy. Adele's Someone Like You is amazing, Kate Havnevik's Grace and Unlike Me is remarkably meditative and calm and quiet, with little dark currents of rhythm running through it. It feels like being submerged in water. Fiona Apple and her Paper Bag are my new fix. I just hate that it's one of those songs that are so darn difficult to sing a long to.
Also, Eric Whitacre makes brilliant mugging music, because choral voices fill your head with white noise. White, beautiful, shimmering noise. The phrasing and resonance distract me sometimes, but the fact that you can't really tell what they're saying is a major plus.
