Scene: carpooling with two of my bosses and a coworker from a meeting back to the office. We were discussing the parking garage that boss #1 parks in.
boss#1: The garage smells better now that they got the dead rat out of there.
me: There was a dead rat in the garage?
boss#1: The guys says that people go in after dark. Who knows what goes on.
coworker: It's probably better that you don't know.
boss#1: I don't know if it was a dead rat, but something smelled hot and dead in there.
me: That's disgusting! Don't ever say that again. It smelled hot and dead. I can't ever not have that sensory image.
boss#2: Throw a maggot in there and you've got lunch.
