Life...it ain't just a cereal

Greetings, my dears!

This post will in no way satisfy what I wanted/needed to write up, but for now it will do until maybe tomorrow.

  • Spice Mines babbleage - So. The lady I'm supposed to be filling in for finally had her bambino on Sunday. I am now fully on my own. Pray for me. Actually, I think it's going to go fine. It's just that even after a couple months with preggers lady there all this time, I really don't think I was told fully what my job is going to entail. It turns out, she's pretty much what I turned into at the old job after 20 years; only she accomplished it in 2. Talk about ambition. She's even hinted that she might not be back after her leave. That might've been the hormones talking though. We'll see.

  • Valets - Backing up slightly, on Friday we hosted a luncheon wherein we acquired a company to do valet parking. Guess who was assigned to welcome the guests as they exited their cars? *grin* I have to say, these guys were the nicest I've ever hung out with. Most of them were college students and were so friggin' cute. One guy I was talking to was an engineering student who had the greenest eyes I've ever seen; but they were almost translucent. I'm pretty sure I haven't stared into a guys eyes that much in my whole life. *blushes*

  • Office roomie - speaking of blushing. Ummmmm...it's quite possible I have a slight crush on the guy I share an office with. Dude. Am I too old for a real life not-a-celebrity crush? And why this guy? He's a bit of an odd egg and possibly a major ass. But he's also kinda nice and unless it was my very wild imagination, he actually got up in the middle of a class reunion dinner and came over to make sure I had gotten something to eat because I was working. Yeah, that had to be my imagination. I should be relieved I'm getting my own desk and won't have to share his office any more, right?

  • It's at this time I'm supposed to be typing up my FHT recap. Uh, yeah. If there's one thing you guys should know by now. I really do kinda suck at recaps. See, if Barb had gone with me, a recap would've been done the night of the concert and posted to her lj where all I would have to do is C&P and nod my head enthusiastically and say 'ditto'. But, no. I have to do this one on my own. Damn.

The main thing I remember is the good Reverend coming out onto the stage. I don't know if it's because I haven't seen hide nor hair of Mr. Armstrong or what, but I have to tell you I was just struck. I literally froze in place and just stared, people! He looked fucking amazing. The rest of the band could've magically floated to the ceiling and played from the rafters all night and I wouldn't have even noticed. It took about a song and a half before I even breathed clapped. And then I couldn't stop. Couldn't stop smiling either. I was just overtaken with how much fucking fun they were having. No, I couldn't really see Tre most of the night, but you could just tell he was having a ball.

This whole Foxboro Hot Tubs thing seems to have been such an outlet for the guys. I for one am glad they decided to do it.

Well, did that suck or what? I'll have to regroup and maybe extend this a bit later on. :)

  • In the anything else that randomly come to mind department...... is it 2010 yet"? Dude so can't wait. And did you all know that Robert put out an album in 2004? Dude has a voice on him. Mainly adult contemporary, but he sounds good.

  • And finally in the anything else that randomly comes to the flist mind department....yes, I have succumbed to the realization that Dean Winchester is hot. *sigh* Are you happy now, Barb? ;)

That's about it for tonight, kiddies. In the next installment I'll explain to you how part of the Spice Mines are now known as the "Grape Slushees". :D
