Yesterday, I decided that building a fort was an infinitely superior use of my time than doing homework. So I spent about an hour building a bigass fort in the living room of my apartment. I love it. It is filled with win and awesomeness. I made it so that the TV is inside it, as well as the couch and our coffee table. Our standing lamp was used as a prop, and is pulling double duty as, wait for it, a source of light. As a direct result of all this, we ended up playing Guitar Hero in it for 2 hours last night. I feel like a badass. Everything is better in a fort. Everything.
Unfortunately, when I got in to Anatomy this morning, I found out from a friend we had the first draft of a paper due today, which our professor hadn't bothered to mention. I was a little upset, but I decided I would write it and turn it in at lab, no big deal (It's only 3-6 pages). Then, at the end of class, he turned around and said, "Oh yeah, you can turn in the papers if you want. If you don't have it, that's okay, because you don't really have to turn it in, you just can if you want to. I'll take a look at any paper turned in this week." My friends had stayed up all night writing those papers. I feel like I was just rewarded for building a fort. :P
Oh, and this is all made better by the fact that I'm turning 20 on Thursday. I feel so mature. :) :) :)
Pictures of my fort may be found on facebook. XD
