Oracle?

One thing I have to demonstrate in my interview on Tuesday is "a knowledge and understanding of Oracle" - it's not a prereq for the job but would be a good bonus.

I know it's a relational database (and what that means) and like in many organisations its used for keeping track of all our financial stuff - our financial problems I believe are all policy-related rather than software problems.

Wikipedia was most unhelpful - Conflux had a look and translated "It's talking about it from the POV of the programmers. It does multi-threading. Ignore."

So if you were someone in an organisation who used Oracle or similar each day, and people came from on high and said 'We're changing all our IT, HR and finance policies and stuff", what would you want them to know about Oracle?
