A Little Warning
I figured I'd post this to my own journal since I have people who belong to both of the communities I take part in here to let any interested parties know--I'm going to the ER tomorrow. I have a lot of pain, and rather noxious drainage, from a new sore on my left foot. I've also been running a low-grade fever that is probably linked to it. Now I don't know what this is going to mean--I could be discharged from the ER with antibiotics, but I don't count on that. I'm pretty sure that I've at least bought myself several days in the pokey. Hours, days, weeks--could be anything. So I'll see ya when I see ya, and to those I owe stories, etc. all I can say is that I don't have any way of following up until I get back. Sorry.
Oh, and the sorta good news is that now that I have my MediCal card I'm NOT going back to Harbor/UCLA. There's a good hospital not more than a couple miles from here, Little Company of Mary, and that's where I'm going. I was there a few years ago, and the difference in how you're treated is immense. So I'm going to go let the nuns have a try at me, hehehe....actually the staff aren't nuns, but they do have them around. I call it a learning opportunity.
