Losing people you love whether it be because they move thousands of miles across the country or whether they deceit us or just plain die is never easy. Financially I am in the same boat as you are. I have no money for college and my mom was a big contributor to our finances.
My best advice is to take everything one day at a time. Be there for your mother as much as possible but don't act fine when you know something is wrong. Let out your sadness and anger as it comes because bottling it up is never good. If your girlfriend decides to go to California try your best not to be selfish, everyone needs to have time to find themselves or experience life in their own way. Holding her here will only make her eventually regret you, be supportive of her decisions as much as it hurts. "True love will withstand the test of time." so if you were meant to have a future together it will happen. With everything you have been through you deserve a lifetime of happiness and true love.
As far as RIT is concerned apply for financial aid through FAFSA, after your parents divorce I am sure you will receive state aid. You are also an intelligent person so look for scholarships they have them for just about everything.
What doesn't kill us only makes us stronger. You can do this. I have all of the faith in the world. Good luck with everything, I am hoping for the best.
