lots has happened since my last entry. feeling bored with the online journal, though, no one ever comments on my entries, and it's not as much fun. i'll still write though, for now. the first day of school. it was friday, and i was scared out of my wits. mom drove scott and i to the main entrance, and we made our way through the crowd of people. i went to his locker, he went to mine, and then we went to our classes. my english class was first period. it wasn't that bad, actually. it's about 70 percent guys, and most of those guys are really cute. we had to do one of those 'find someone who... (was born in another state)' type worksheets. i asked a lot of cute guys, and one girl asked me where i moved from, because she put my name for 'went to a different school last year'. i told her, and she talked to me for a bit. she seems very nice. that class wasn't too bad, so iwent to child development next. it was hard to find, but i wasn't late. this girl sat in front of me, she looked really nice, and had converse on and a dickies bag. she was wearing a 'sheldon cheer' shirt, but so was every other cheerleader in the school. there were a lot of different grades in my child development class, juniors, seniors, the senior cheerleaders, some 18 yr old guy, and a lot of sophomores. the teacher, who seems very cool, talked about the class, and we had to fill out a 'previous crimes or felonies' form, and she explained that we had to, because last year some dude from another eugene school molested one of the preschool girls, among other girls from his church. gross. then she talked about some of the kids we'd see. one girl who ate flies after she caught them out of the air, some twin boys who have their own language, some temper tantrum kids. she, the teacher, didn't want to go to the assembly we were supposed to go to, so we skipped it, and got let out of class early, giving us an extra 30 minutes of lunch. which sucked at the time, since scott didn't get out of class for 30 minutes, so i had nothing to do. i went in the bathroom and just sat there, then i came out and tried turning on the faucet, and the same girl from child development with the dickies bag showed me how to turn it on. i wandered aroudn the halls for a while, and then i saw her at her locker with a few of her friends. she saw me, smiled, and said 'hey! i see you a lot, my name's annie. you're from new york! i know how you feel, i was new last year. i'm a sophomore too.' she introduced me to her other friends, lucy, (her little brother's a freshman and he skates too, so he needs to be introduced to scott) and the other girl, beau? i think that was her name, she's from thailand. they asked me to eat lunch with them, and they introduced me to a lot of their other friends. a few cheerleaders, even a guy cherleader! he was funny. then , during my free period, beau and i wandered around, went to the preschool, swun;g on the swings, and her friend caitlin came along, and spent a while telling me i should join the water polo team, since they're shy a few players. 4th period came, and i went to geometry. the class has a lot. a LOT of freshmen, 5 or 6 sophomores, one of them very cute, a few juniors, and a senior. the day ended, i said goodbye to lucy, annie, and beau. lucy hugged me and said that ishould look for them in front of the school on monday, and i walked across the street to bi-mart where mom was picking me up. some cute dude and his friend were there along the way and said hi to me and asked my name. mom picked me up, and then later that night, scott, mom, dad and i went to some work picnic pool side thing dad was having. it was pretty boring, until of my dad's coworkers introduced us to his son and his wife. his son, a freshmen, very cute, talked to scott and i a bit, then he went swimming. scott and i spent the rest of the night watching the little kids go off the diving board, and graded their dives. it was a really good day. today, i had my first driving lesson. we went to a community college a few streets over, and dad handed me the wheel. i didn't hit anything, i went up to 20 MILES PER HOUR, and i did pretty good. i braked, i turned, i sped, i u-turned, i reversed, and i parked. next lesson : more parking, braking, and scott says i should parallel park but i don't know. along the way home, we stopped at the eugene saturday market. it's huge! it seems like one of those festivals with the food, the jewelry, the band, and people. the people. very interesting. scott gave a quarter to a homeless man, i saw a lady with 4 INCH armpit hairs, more tye dye than i've ever seen in my life, and a lot of long haired guys. a 'rock the vote' spokesman who was... oh.. say.. 19 or 20? he was kind of dork-ish, and he asked scott and i if we'd registered to vote. i laughed, and scott just kept walking. i told the guy i wasn't old enough, and he said 'oh, surely you'll be 18 before november?' and i said, no i'm only 15. he looked kind of shocked, and said, really? wow. and then i left. scott and dad are watching the university of oregon ducks' game, and later we're goin to the mall. now that you've been updated on every single moment of my last 2 days...... goodbye.
