So Euro is over and I really enjoyed it, time to get some of my life back (and plot my next euro qualifier entry).
Some very friendly people and some amazing costumes, not to mention the dedication of the organisers and helpers. For those who haven't seen the scores yet, I came 8th. Very pleased as many of the costumes above me were more detailed or included more that one construction method. The age of Bubblegum Crisis means there isn't the detail of say Trinity Blood. I may have saved a point or two on my skit if my right shoulder armour hadn't decided to pop off and make a bid for freedom during the skit. Will have to use an alternative method to attach those to the costume if I want them to stay on and move around at the same time.
Priss was never intended to be my Euro qualifier entry but circumstances made it that way, so I took it as far as I could. From all the comments I have received, the one that pleases me the most was "you have the only 'zote armour that doesn't look like 'zote armour."
Given this was my first full armour project, I am really happy with the costume and really happy with where I placed. 1st and 8th, the only country to have both contestants in the top 10, a good result for UK cosplay.
I would like to thank a few people who gave me advice or support during the making of Priss.
Firstly, Annette for putting up with my stress and the living room floor covered in plastazote.
Secondly, Mike for suggesting the song to use as the skit idea. Whether it was an ironic suggestion or not.
Thirdly, Tab for advice on adding a zip to the plastazote boots.
Finally, Xae, video goggles aside, has answered any queries I have had.
