One thing that makes my job go way faster is to use the scotch brand sponges for all surfaces to clean. They are the yellow ones with the green backing for scrubbing. When I use the sponge I don't have to keep on changing cloths etc.
I prefer Pine Sol for floors, because it makes the client think that things are super clean via smell.
I use mops that have material that you have to wring out. They clean in small areas where as the ones that you use the lever to squeeze don't.
I use windex on windows, counter tops, fixtures etc....after I have cleaned with the sponge.
Cream soap for bathrooms - like liquid Vim.
I also bought an extra red pail to carry the supplies around in so that I don't have to reach for anything and all is right there at my finger tips.
In pail I have: windex, paper towels, sponges, comet (toilets), toilet brush (if they don't have 1), wood spray polisher, Vim, small white garbage bag. Vacume cleaner and mop on side with another pail.
I tell my clients that they supply the stuff, but I always have stuff in my trunk because I am picky about what I use to go as fast and accurate as possible.
Big monster houses I will charge $60.00-$75.00 and it usually takes me 4 hours (approx.) Other houses I just say that I will do a quick once over for them at a reduced rate of $30.00. It usually takes me 2 hours (I will NOT go over that for that price). You would be surprised at what u can get done in that amount of time. I ask them what they want done the most and start there.
