trust me, for the time being, this is a wiser career move. i know theres nothing in retail unless your king shit. but theres also nothing in kingston unless you already have/know a trade/established career choice (ie: MD)
this job sucks. the only PRO parts are as follows:
$330 a week. (which could still be better) close to home (about 2 minute drive) they like so much i barely have to do anything (which i actually DONT like because id rather actually work and feel productive but because of their actions ive been reduced to "caring less" and slacking nonstop)
the CONS are as follows:
read previous LJ entries (ie: giving me the runaround, not giving me a PERMANENT position, and any other BS garbage) not to mention, although i can handle the type of work required of me....i hate doing it.
the position at H&M isnt a sales position like i already have... i would be driving around (and being reimbursed for it) to other stores in the district to maintain and repair the stores. (IE: lighting fixtures, stockroom fixtures, painting, fixing doors and other electrical failures)
80% of my workweek is traveling (which i dont mind, WHATSOEVER) id be pulling in anywhere from $470 - $500 + a week. and unlike my current job....
id be getting benefits. really good ones. including tuition reimbursement ...so i can continue school and learn one of those oh so good trades.
