blah blah Time Lords whatever. The Doctor and Master didn't make out, the cactus people kept being a convenient deus ex machina, and we didn't get any backstory about the Saxon cult and the Naismiths' creepy relationship.
The last 20 minutes was basically RTD furiously masturbating. Okay, so 10's regenerating after having absorbed radiation to save Wilf. Let's just ignore that he absorbed radiation in Smith & Jones and was able to expel it through his shoe, because nothing matters because it's a grand old goodbye to everyone! Seriously, there was so much random stuff, did RTD just pick out his favourite people to bring back? When I saw the cast list, I was convinced that the Russell Tovey and Jessica Hynes characters were actually going to be integral to the plot. And yeah, I like both of them and it was nice to see them, but ffs he may as well have thrown in Madame de Pompadour at that rate. I'm pretty sure that the person who made the bingo cards had no advance information and just came up with "Ensign Frame is Jack's new boyfriend" as a joke. That entire bar scene was just a gratuitous opportunity to reuse a bunch of aliens. Also, what kind of fool lets Adipose into a bar? They're infants!
So yeah, he's regenerating really slowly, and so the best thing to do is to save jailbait from being hit by cars. And then he sees Sarah Jane, AND HE DOESN'T TALK TO HER? AFTER KNOWING HER FOR DECADES? BUT HE TALKS TO SPECIAL SNOWFLAKE ROSE AND HER ODDLY MISSING LACK OF EYELINER? THANKS A LOT, RTD. Also, MICKEY AND MARTHA? SHE WAS ALREADY (GETTING?) MARRIED TO SOMEONE ELSE! That's so out of character, both of them are better than that.
Also, what's the deal with Donna's brain? Obviously she was able to blast the Master clones, but there has to still be some sort of residual Time Lord energy, since she only woke up when she heard the TARDIS.
All that being said, the waterworks didn't really start until "I don't want to go."
ETA: I'M WATCHING THE CONFIDENTIAL, AND THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE RIGHT AFTER CHILDREN OF EARTH? RTD JUST REALLY WANTS TO CRAP ALL OVER IANTO, DOESN'T HE?
