Piratz Tavern
So since the Drunken Ferret crew needed a couple more people for the weekly gig at Piratz Tavern (apparently one of their biggest fan patrons is coming this week and bringing a big group, plus one of the crew's father is having his birthday party there that night), I volunteered as long as they thought I could do it.
Well, tonight we had rehearsal and went through a lot of the usual tavern songs, and most of them I didn't even need the lyric sheets for since I've been listening to the CDs with this stuff on it for weeks now. It was just about learning some clapping and funny reactions. Therefore I got a unanimous vote in favor of allowance. So this Friday night is my first gig as a Pirate for Sail!
I'm psyched. Unfortunately I only have my thrifted pirate garb I wore at A&G (was going to get a new poet shirt except the stupid Amazon store told me they were out of stock after the fact), but they said it should be all right. Won't have my own tankard, but otherwise free food and drink. I'm all for that. Nothing alcoholic for me, though. They keep saying they're gonna get me hooked on the grog eventually...but for now not only am I still dry, I'm also supposed to be the designated driver since I'm giving another of the crew a lift.
Should be a fun time, at least.
