Happy December, everyone!
After a month of denying myself Christmas music, I am now listening to it whole-heartedly. I didn't want to cheapen it by listening to it too early, ya know? I love love love it!
Last night when I was studying in the commons at around 11:40, this guy comes running to the area I was in with a Christmas hat, stops, and says in a loud voice "What are all of you doing sitting around and studying?!? It's 20 minutes until December, and we're having a party over there to ring it in!" Curiosity got the best of me, so Meghan and I went over to see what the fuss was about, and sure enough, a gathering of people were eating candy canes and dancing to Christmas music. After some merriment, there was a 10 second countdown and I cheered in the new month with some strangers I had never met. Only in college do these things happen.
Later in the night, I was reviewing with my buddy Jaime when 3 guys came and physically picked him up and said they were going to Houston to get some fresh Krispy Kreme donuts, even though 2 of them had major tests today. This was at 2 am, mind you. People are NUTZO!
That's what is nice about college though. You can always find someone who is awake! It makes me feel less like an insomniac if I'm walking back to my dorm room well after midnight and see others out and about.
Only 13 more days until my Christmas break! Too bad I'll be taking Geena to the airport on Christmas day so she can go to Laos :'(. AND Target will be possessing my soul again for a majority of the break, but I'v missed sporting the red and khaki. Oh yeah, and the sweet sound of cash going into my wallet. (Cash doesn't actually make noise....but you know)
