Wildstorm, oh Wildstorm!
Wildstorm is either rebooting once again. (Earth 50.2?) or they are trying to cash in on the DC gimmick of trying to get continuity freaks to buy into a massive event. Sadly, it is doomed because not that many people give a shit about Wildstorm anymore.
I have a proposal for Wildstorm. Become a studio again, like the Gaijin days. Work for DC on DC projects, any imprint Jim Lee and friends can find a niche in, give some Wildstorm guys a few DC superhero books, give someone a Vertigo title, have at a Minx book... and have a small Wildstorm logo under the DC logo on these studio projects. Keep the licensed books, like the Heroes stuff, the horror titles, and Warcraft. Just give the "Wildstorm Universe" up. Let them fade into obscurity for a few years. Then you can occasionally bring them back in one shots or mini series, but nothing long term unless the market can bear it.
Though before you do it, you have to let Warren Ellis kill off The Authority (and by proxy the whole damn Universe). He is the only motherfucker who can do it. He is the only son of a bitch who deserves to do it. It would be orgasmic and beautiful.
