I was reading the news about how 26 people were just kidnapped from a workplace in Iraq.
How fucking stupid do you have to be to say "okay I will get into your van/bus, then get driven to some ditch, only to get shot in the head by you later." Wouldn't it be better to get shot right there, trying to stop the fuckers?
Take all the USA, Sunni, Shiite, Bathist bullshit out of the equation..
After all that has happened in that country, would anyone volunteer to go with those people without some sort of fight?
Makes you wonder how sheepish and brainwashed the average citizen of that country is. Have they become so tame to impending death at the hand of a gunmen? Do they just give up in the face of huge hopeless bullshit that has overrun that part of the world? Maybe it is a side effect of religion? Somewhat reminds me of how easily the ancient Christians in Rome were willing to become lion food....
You guys don't want me to get captured with you in a hostage situation, I'd get us all killed. At least I would bother to put up a fight.
