I barely remembered this as a kid. But my son watches old G.I. Joe cartoons on G4's Action Blast show. Today's was a classic crazy Cobra plot to take over the world. remember that this cartoon originally aired in 1985!
Seems like Cobra Commander has kidnapped a brilliant geneticist.
Who has learned to replicate certain giant "reptile" DNA with ostrich eggs!
So G.I. Joe goes into save the Doctor. The huge gates to the compound open and they are faced with a deadly new Cobra super weapon created by science gone amok!
This seems so familiar, like I have seen this plot before...
But before you go accusing the writers of the Joe's adventures of plagerising a major Hollywood movie and Micheal Crichton novel...
Just know that Crichton wrote Jurassic Park 5 years AFTER this cartoon! (cartoon=1985, novel=1990)
YES! It is true! A best selling book and Stevo Spielberg franchise was all stolen from a fucking Kiddie show used to sell toys in the 80's!
Sometimes I wonder if that episode where Cobra started up a movie studio in order to brainwash people with thier movies was actually real?
Maybe Tom Cruise is Cobra Commander in a clone body? Scientology is not as far fetched as anything Doctor Mindbender came up with....
And knowing is half the battle!
