Life makes you want to just give up, but at the same time forces into you a desire to keep living

Wow, I am constantly amazed at strangeness that is life. I recollect a time when I was an aspiring student in AP Euro, attempting to get into the governor's school. When the time came to reveal who would have gotten in, it turns out I placed third waiting-list. Riken got first, Rikesh second. I question the intelligence of the Govschool acceptance board, since Riken dropped out after his first year anyway, and that Rikesh should have been ahead of him in the first place. Anyway, that is beside the point. Riken got in, Rikesh and I didn't. I can seriously look back and see probably why I was not accepted. It was because of my C in AP euro first semester that probably killed me. Now, on the ten point scale, I would have had a B. It brings to mind, what if I had gotten in? My life would have been so different now. My perceptions changed, altered. Granted, there are probably other factors, but I think it would have been a distinct possibility. Life is strange, and the public school system is messed up. How one little thing completely changes a persons life. It's mind boggleing. Well, hindsight is fun, but it does nothing for the present, which determines the future. So I move on.... College is stressful (gee, who would've thought that?) and I need something, I just can't put my finger on it. I need a weekend, and I need it badly. I'm too tired to rant further, suffice it to say, i'm tired, life's weird, and i'm i need of a good hug. To the weekend!! Play my friday songs!!!!!! Dont ask.
