It's time for another one of my infamous 'this-post-has-no-meaning-but-is-here-for-the-general-purpose-of-clotting-up-your-friends-pages" posts!
"Button, button. Who's got the button?"
Watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Melissa, Jacob, Jess and Loren. I found it... extremely amusing. While I find the first adaptation of Dahl's classic storyline amusing and a must for any tv-goer, I have to salute Time Burton's efforts in this rendition. Johnny Depp is a very talented actor and I thought he played an enjoyable (and hilariously weird) 'Wonka'. His little squabbles with Mike Teevee are classic and loved the sets used in the picture. Loren couldn't understand why the costuming was so strange but it's hard to explain all the 60's undertones to him. All in all, I would watch it (if not own it) a few more times.
We've been bowling for two consecutive nights in a row (which, to Loren's delight) has resulted in his bowling average skyrocketing to new heights. He was refused for a pint of beer on Friday night because the filming on his shitty ass license was peeling off. So, now it's another wonderful trip to the DMV for a five hour wait.
Noa will be visiting tomorrow! I'm so excited! It's been a week and a half since I've gotten to see my little guy and I'm getting extremely anxious.
In other news, watched Boogeyman and Constantine. I absolutely loved Constantine. Worth a watch for anyone. Boogeyman was scary at times but all in all, turned out just like Darkness Falls.
