yummy cheerios
so this week has been pretty darn good considering james has been gone : P
i realized that yes...i can do things by myself or with other friends. its good to know. yeah i know its sad im so dependant. oh well..i am. but i think at least im getting to know myself as my own person as well. yay me.
so...this week me and darren...mostly darren..have set up our darkroom in his bathroom. we have everything....but the bulb in the enlarger has already busted...and we cant find the right lense...so *maybe* we might have to give in and buy a new enlarger...the one we have is my dads from like 30 years ago...and its even older than that. they started making them in like the 30's. crazy. anyways...a new one could run anywhere from $200-$400...yuck...already sunk at least $400 into this thing. oh well. the price you pay for things you love...
wednesday i went to the art center darkroom allll day. i think it gets kinda drepressing feeling after being in darkness for 6 hours. got some pics printed...they turned out ok i guess...gotta practice...or get a neverending supply of paper...
went out to lunch thursday with laurie. the finally sleeping gabe came along and didnt really wake up or cry the whole time. it was amazing! haha. poor laurie never gets a break. but lunch was good. got chilis then went to hollywood video and rented "in her shoes" which was a really good movie for a chick flick. thoroughly enjoyed : )
friday...i think i vegged after work. tried cleaning a bit...didnt work out so well : P
saturday..work..then lara called and we decided to go out to dinner. tried out thai house in largo mall...really good. their crab rangoon wasnt sweet tho...kinda strange. and we had buy one get one. score! so yummy. went back to their place and watched "must love dogs" i kinda fell asleep towards the end....it was a slow movie. and john cusack is getting old. he was so cute back in the day with all his lovey dovey girly movies.
sunday...work..and then me and mandi hit downtown after she about killed me while i was trying to follow her home : P oh well i made it in one piece.
so ive missed downtown. theres a lot of great pitures just waiting to be taken,....i just hope mine come out...took 3 rolls. mandi's camera is so nice : ( i wish i had one. so this italian restaurant guy come out of jojo's downtown and is like "oh are you professional photographers? do you work for the times?" haha no...but we try. so he continues to herd us toward the restaurant and tells us to go inside and take pictures of the place...so we;re like sure. he gets us some water cause its dang hot and we pretend to know what we're doing : P and hes like...why dont you come back next weekend and show me the pictures...if i like them ill set you both up with a $20 bar tab...so we;re like haha ok. not too bad...so i guess wondering around with big ass cameras make you look like you know what youre doing : P kinda got another offer by another guy that did sports photography but its while we're at work on saturday : ( oh well....wondered on down to mandi's piercing place and she got new jewels for hers and they had an ear one i wanted cause my other one broke : ( but i like this one better. yay. so now i want a sternum piercing...i hope mandi doenst think im copying her ; P its just perty. sounds painful but i guess its not so much? hmm. maybe when i get paid....or james wants to get it for me 0: )
he gets back today. yay : )
