Weather Report.
Today, I received three most interesting books from the library, all involving the fanciful design & construction of housing by amateurs. Included are various fairy tale cottages, geodesic and monolithic domes, yurts, huts (no Quonsets though), tipis and a host of others not so easily described. I have decided that one of these would make an apt dwelling for myself before I accrue enough money/power to build a world-famous residence. I’m leaning in the yurt/tipi direction (a yome is also a possibility) as they are the cheapest and also are free of right angles and flat ceilings. I figure $2000 for a well insulated, decorated tipi. But where would I set it up? Any suggestions or financial contributions are welcome.
