You are wrong!

Those words should be venerated. They are religious in that order. If not religious at least spiritual. Or existentialist.

Humans with a language, even if that language only exist in their heads have the ability to say "you are wrong". I've never really thought about how much that means, truly. But it means the world, doesn't it? In those few words you create your own view and identity. It's those words that assure your mind its freedom.

Each and every one of us are allowed to say anything, or should be at least. At the same time you have the possibility of disagreeing. If you don't like what they say, if you don't like their view of the world you can retort. You can use that phrase, ignore their views and create your own instead. We should always listen, but once we've listened and mulled it over we are free to agree or disagree. I think perhaps that is what freedom really is.

That is absolutely beautiful. But why do we never stop at that? Why do we feel the need to destroy other people's "you are wrong" and force them into submission in our own "I am right"? How could our right ever become more valid by forcing others into it? To me that's not nearly as beautiful as "you are wrong!".

(and yeah I shall write a small travel account, but I just took a shower and couldn't stop thinking about this so had to put it down)

philosophy, disagree, words, life
