As I near the end of the year, the burnout and exhaustion from keeping up the concert blog always creeps in. I just don't care as much to keep this thing current as I normally do...not that I've actually been keeping this current throughout the rest of the year much anyway.
And I guess that's kind of the point of this. I'm not seeing as many shows as I used to and it doesn't bother me in the least. I prefer to spend my nights, weekends and free time in other ways. So I'm seriously considering ending the concert blog once more. Why? Again, not seeing as many shows. And of the shows I'm seeing, it's usually bands that I've generally seen more than once and so I've likely already written about them on those occasions, so what new insight can I possibly add? And since I'm not keeping this timely, why even bother?
I have been putting in a few non concert related posts here and there and that's probably more along the lines of where I'm going to take this thing. I'll just write about something when I feel like writing about it. Not necessarily feel obligated to write, just because I saw a band perform. I'll still probably keep a tally of which shows I see throughout a year in some form, because that's how the blog developed in the first place. I'm just not sure what that form is going to be yet.
Thankfully I still have about a month and half to figure that out.
Just wanted to share this, because people actually do read these.
And thanks to everyone who has read and commented throughout the years that I've doing it, means a great deal to me.
