Hello!! yes, Mounted Dutymen are those tourist attractions on horses outside Horseguards Parade and Windsor castle. You can join the veritable queue of people that have promised to come into London and flick beans at me while I sit about on a horse...
I've never settled into a job that required me to sit and do not a lot for long periods of time and always regretted not following my friend Chris into woodwork, so here I am finally changing that which ails me. The other reason for joining, I have to confess, is because I want someone to force some discipline on me, I'm very lax with myself and I hate that I can't ever make myself do what I need to to better myself. So here, as they say, goes nothing. (only a week left!!!)
Conservation Volunteering? Actually sounds kind of fun, I've never really had very green fingers but I do enjoy the outdoors side of it all, all that grunting, making man noises, hitting things with other things, digging holes, drinking tea while leaning on spade. Fun times. You going to be a student again then? Go for I say! I'd rather be happy than well accomplished.
Beans, eh? Now that's an idea ... I was thinking of leaving London, but that's a convincing reason to stay ;)
I went through a woodwork phase. Only got as far as buying a book or two on it ... but it's hard to do woodwork in a tiny one bedroom flat. I need somewhere I can set up a workbench.
I grunt and make man noises anyway ... seriously though, as good as tea is, it tastes much better brewed from a storm kettle on a wood fire, and drunk after a hard day's labour.
