Work fun...
Gah... It's so hot in here. My office is about 85°F right now. Apparently the air conditioners failed on Friday when the power went out, and they couldn't fix them over the weekend. Someone just went around and shut off the lights to try and cool us down. Unfortunately, that doesn't help the fact that there are a few thousand computers here all pumping out massive amounts of heat.
Oh yeah, I forgot to write about Friday... At 9:20 in the morning, the power inexplicably failed in my building. Since they couldn't figure out what caused the failure right away (and even when they did, they determined it would take hours to fix), they ended up sending us all home. And just in case you hadn't already noticed, let me just point out the irony here... I work for GENERAL ELECTRIC. The turbines that power a significant portion of the world are built RIGHT HERE. And we lost power. But to be fair, it wasn't our fault.
