A Call to Arms!

Feb 06, 2008 12:15

Monday, 17 March, 2008, 11:30am, you must all be at Sheehan's.

All of you who can see this, no exceptions.

I (and hopefully Dan) will be there around 10 or so, hopefully holding 1st place in line. By 11:30, there should be a good sized but not unmanageable line. You should all be able to get in.

If you can't/don't come for whatever reason, that's fine, but know I'll be having at least 1 drink for everyone who could potentially see this (that's at least 50 people) over the course of the day, so if you want to come and either a) observe the self-destructive punishment of my liver, b) talk me out of said punishment or c) beat me up for whatever reason, that'll be the best day of the year to try it. Most other days, I'm either a) not well enough off to drink that much, b) not drunk enough to be receptive to people telling me what to do or c) stubborn enough to not give in to the sweet embrace of unconsciousness.

Also, for those of you who read this and may have parental/avuncular (apparently, avuncular means pertaining to either an aunt or uncle, not just an uncle) responsibilities, the Bar isn't a Bar until after 2 most Paddy's, so bring the kinder on by, they can have some corned beef and cabbage and a glass of pop/juice/water/milk. The bar, I'm told, does have those beverages on hand for drinks where you cut the booze with things that aren't more booze. Although why you would want to cut your liquor is beyond me.

Anyway, I think we're all forgetting the most important part of this post:

St. Patrick's Day. 11:30. Corner of St. Paul and Queen streets in St. Catharines. Let's reconnect.

And get celebratory.

booze, family, paddy's
